Hanford Beast Week Series

purpose:

I want to give athletes the chance to acquire the most essential concepts I received through the years of my athletic and personal life. I started water polo on a team who only could beat one other team my freshman year in high school and ended up playing for the USA National Team before I retired.  I had pit-stops of a CIF championship, playing and graduating from UC Irvine with the death of my mother to cancer, professional play (Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Greece, Australia), and coached some fabulous athletes between Alaska, Seattle, Albuquerque, California, and Zimbabwe.

Who:

Minimum 1 season of polo experience required

If you think it is time to take your mentality, fitness, and game to the next level, I invite you to BEAST WEEK.

The goal is to take the base you've gained over the summer and multiply them exponentially. By coaching BEAST WEEK like one I would run when I coached my highest level athletes, I want to make you a breakout candidate. After our week together, you should be able to explode through your high school team's hell week and into the fall season.

We will train very hard, because we want it hard. A difficulty overcame is a platform of confidence later.

I don't care if you're the best, I care that you want to be the best you can be.

Why:

Your short term gains will be overall physical fitness, power in the water, ability to perform necessary water polo fundamentals, and increased knowledge of the game.

Your long term gains will be an understanding of improvement comes from toughness, discipline, and an ability to push yourself harder than you thought you could. Gaining these skills will come from an in-depth study and emphasis on Daniel Goleman's  "What Makes A Leader." Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, and Motivation.
